Dr. Heather Thanepohn
Dr. Heather Thanepohn (pronounced “10-Pin”) has lived in Las Vegas since 2004. She specializes in individual and organizational assessment and crisis management. She has been working in clinical mental health since 2006, launching and directing innovative mental health and psychological wellness initiatives at local and national levels including the police, fire, military, and professional sports organizations. Heather’s educational background includes a Doctorate in Organizational Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, a Masters of Social Work from University of Nevada- Las Vegas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Kansas. Dr. Thanepohn is passionate about the operational integration of mental health and mental health education.
Mr. Micah Schnurstein
Mr. Micah Schnurstein played professional baseball for nearly a decade with the Chicago White Sox. He uses his experience as a player to relate to the physical, mental, and social challenges associated with being a professional athlete and the impact those challenges can have on performance. He is committed to providing quality, effective, evidenced based mental health interventions utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Micah is an affiliated provider with the the NFLPA, USOPC, and the UFC; he provides services to performers and athletes of all levels. Micah earned a Master’s in Social work from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL with a focus in Trauma Informed Care and Neurobiology, and a Bachelors of Social Work from Metropolitan State University- Denver. Micah is committed to helping elite performers increase engagement with their craft and maximize output.
